How to Step Out of Your Comfort Zone this Holiday Season

Not a fan of sequins and glitter? The stores are full of snazzy cocktail attire this time of year but it can be tough to sift through the piles of tinsel covered frocks. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE a good sparkly dress but if your in the mood for a change, try some of the other delicious fabric options available this party season.

Metallics

They are all the rage. Class up your usual New Years outfit and try a metallic midi skirt! This material will make you feel just as bright and shiny as your sequin favorites.

Silk

Silk, silk, silk. I can’t get enough of it. You’ll find dresses, skirts and blouses galore. This material is so versatile. You can wear a stunning silk dress to your company holiday party or you can put a plain white tee under it and and wear it to finish up your last minute Christmas shopping.  Perfect transition from day to night.

Leather

Meow. Nothing says Con-fi-dent like a fitted leather pencil skirt and sky high heals. You can sex it up with a crop top or tone it down with a chiffon button-up blouse.

And if you are not a skirt/dress girl… no big deal! Shimmy into a pair of leather leggings and you will be holiday party ready in no time.

Velvet

We have been inundated with velvet everything this season…have you tried it yet? Well, there is a reason why it’s everywhere! It is totally fashionista worthy and 100% comfortable. Velvet is great for any type of party! Throw on a gorgeous bohemian velvet mini dress with come opaque tights and thigh high boots and you’ve got a killer look on your hands!
